Our Modalities

At Nuummite Psychotherapy, we offer a diverse range of therapeutic modalities tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. Our approach is integrative, blending evidence-based practices with compassionate care to support emotional, mental, and relational well-being.

Individual Therapy:
Our one-on-one sessions provide a safe and confidential space for clients to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care, we support personal growth, stress reduction, emotional regulation, and the development of coping strategies.

Family Therapy:
Family dynamics play a significant role in mental health and overall well-being. Through structured sessions, we help families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen connections. Our family therapy incorporates systemic approaches to address patterns and promote healthier, supportive relationships.

Couples Therapy:
Whether couples are navigating conflict, communication challenges, or life transitions, we provide guidance to enhance understanding, intimacy, and collaboration. Using approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman-Informed Techniques, we help couples build stronger, lasting partnerships.

Children & Adolescent Therapy:
We provide age-appropriate support for children and teens facing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges. Utilizing play therapy, expressive therapies, and CBT techniques tailored to younger clients, we empower them to process emotions, build resilience, and develop essential life skills in a supportive environment.

Mindfulness & Somatic Practices:


To complement talk therapy, we integrate mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic exercises to help clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate stress, and cultivate self-awareness. These practices are beneficial across all age groups and therapeutic needs, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our sessions.

Group & Community Support:
Occasionally, we offer group therapy and workshops focusing on topics like stress management, emotional regulation, and grief processing. These settings provide a sense of community, shared learning, and peer support while practicing therapeutic skills in a guided environment.

Meet the Founder 

Ravpreet Chaggar is the founder of Nuummite Psychotherapy, a practice built on the belief that healing happens when people are given a safe, supportive space to explore their experiences and reconnect with themselves.​ Ravpreet is a registered psychotherapist qualifying, who works with individuals, couples, families, and youth navigating challenges such as anxiety, trauma, stress, life transitions, grief, and relationship difficulties. Her work is rooted in evidence-based psychotherapy and focuses on helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and patterns. Through therapy, clients develop insight, emotional regulation skills, and practical tools to support meaningful change in their lives.​ Her therapeutic work integrates established approaches such as trauma-informed therapy, mindfulness, cognitive and emotional processing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is used to support clients in processing distressing or traumatic experiences that may continue to impact their present-day emotional responses and nervous system. The goal is to help individuals move through difficult memories in a safe and structured way so they can experience relief, clarity, and greater emotional stability.​ While Ravpreet values the foundations of traditional psychotherapy, she also believes that healing can involve more than just talking. The vision behind Nuummite Psychotherapy was to create a space where psychotherapy could be thoughtfully integrated with complementary holistic practices that support emotional and sensory regulation.​ Nuummite Psychotherapy was created as a place where therapeutic work can be enhanced through calming and grounding elements such as crystal healing, sound therapy, aromatherapy, and chromotherapy (color therapy). These practices are used to help create a soothing environment that supports relaxation, mindfulness, and deeper connection to the therapeutic process. The name Nuummite reflects this vision. Known as a stone associated with grounding and inner transformation, it symbolizes the idea that healing often involves reconnecting with the deeper parts of ourselves. Through Nuummite Psychotherapy, Ravpreet’s intention is to offer a space that honours both the clinical foundations of psychotherapy and the calming, restorative qualities of holistic practices, allowing clients to experience therapy in a way that feels supportive, intentional, and deeply personal.
